Sean Reilly, Executive Director

As our Executive Director, Sean is responsible for the overall management of UMCH Family Services.  Since joining the team in 2011 he has guided us in expanding the types of services we provide. Over the past four years, UMCH has extended our service area, introduced remote care for psychiatric clients living in smaller communities, implemented more intensive levels of outpatient treatment, expanded our school and community-based services and increased our overall ability to provide psychiatric, mental health and behavioral health support throughout Central Ohio—all under Sean’s watch.

A seasoned leader in both executive management and the provision of programs and services for children and families, Sean has been working in the mental health field for more than 30 years.  Prior to joining the UMCH team, Sean was the managing partner for Executive Resources Associates.  He has represented the Ohio Council of Behavioral Healthcare Providers, the Ohio Association of Child Caring Agencies and various other local, regional and state-wide committees, including the Steering Committee of the Tapestry System of Care in Cuyahoga County.

Having received both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University, Sean has an extensive background in the operation of children’s mental health and social service agencies.  He has participated in numerous affiliations and mergers; helping program and administrative staff integrate successfully into new organizations.  He has also assisted many organizations in moving to the next level through accreditation, certification and the attainment of dozens of new contracts, including Medicaid, and has developed multiple programs in community-based settings.
